Messi Match Preparations: Argentina Team Manager Visits Kochi
As Kerala prepares to welcome the World Cup champion, the global icon- Lionel Messi, Argentina team manager Hector Daniel Cabrera will arrive in Kochi at 12 noon today to personally review the preparations. The Argentina team manager will visit the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where the match will be held, and assess the security and other arrangements. He will also meet with Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman and Reporter Broadcasting Company MD Anto Augustine to finalize the arrangements.
It is expected that Daniel Cabrera will oversee the accommodation, food, travel, and other facilities, which will be discussed during the meeting. Discussions on the team’s schedule and match details are also on the agenda. The confirmation regarding the teams’ arrival in Kochi came a few days ago. The Argentina Football Federation had previously announced that Messi and his team would be coming to Thiruvananthapuram, but due to concerns about the lack of facilities at Greenfield Stadium, the venue was changed to Kochi.
Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium is also the home ground of the ISL club Kerala Blasters. The stadium was previously upgraded to FIFA standards during the Under-17 World Cup. The move is to complete the stadium works as soon as possible as the scheduled date approaches. The Argentina team's visit to Kerala will take place between November 10 and 18. This historic visit is being organized by Reporter Broadcasting Company Private Limited, in collaboration with the Kerala government, marking a once in a life time moment for football fans across the state.
